We have had a little bit of a week – I’ve had to pull my youngest out of Day Care. Now I’m in a mad rush to try and find somewhere else that is suitable as soon as I can, I’d like to keep my job.

Cars are life at the moment.

Although stressful, I’ve been able to spend a little more time with my little buddy this week, which has been nice. We’ve been to Soft play, had lunch out, done some yoga and a good nap… or two.

In the garden I’ve done a little bit of weeding and lots of watering in this unseasonably hot weather we are already having here in Brisbane. My snow peas are not going to be doing well – I did expect to have a few more weeks of mild even cool temperature. It looks to be only getting warmer which is a bit of a bummer. We shall see how things go.

Grevillea Moonlight simply cracking along in this weather.

I have introduced almost 30 new products into my Etsy Store this week alone. The thing I’m struggling with is as always – SEO and Marketing. I can create a nice product and design. Trying to get it in front of customers – well that is another story. I’m assuming I am not alone in this. It’s highly frustrating. I spend hours drawing and designing and no one gets to see it. The only thing for it is to keep cracking along I guess.

Penguin Christmas

This Sunday was Father’s Day here in Australia. We had a lovely morning out having breakfast and then shopping. We spent the day together as a family, relaxing mostly. I wasn’t able to get as much meal prep done as I would have liked, but it was worth it. We haven’t spent that much time together in a while. We’ve always got something on, rushing around trying to get places and do things. It was really nice to slow things down.

I did manage to cook/prep:

  • Cooked Chorizo and Egg Slice
  • Cooked Bacon
  • Cooked chicken schnitzels
  • Jelly
  • Prepped Pulled pork to be put in the slow cooker tomorrow
  • Washed and dried lettuce and berries
  • Cut watermelon for the week – it’s all gone already…….
Sunday evening – week review and prep for the coming week.

Reviewing the week that’s been, planning the next, drinking peppermint tea. Fantastic. I enjoy sitting down, writing my thoughts out. Even if they make no sense. I always feel lighter after. I don’t always find the answers but I definitely feel 5e weight shift. I love planning for the following week. I never complete all the tasks I set for myself. I’m always happy with what I do get done. I’ve come to learn that even a few small steps each day or week are better than no steps at all.

I’m off to do my daughter’s nails!

Wishing you endless inspiration and flourishing creativity in your art and garden endeavors. Happy creating!
