Ha! I’ve just realised I’ve dated last weeks update a month ago – we are now in September! That’s how much last week disrupted my carefully laid plans!
This week has definitely proven much better than last week. I feel way more in control. A huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Our youngest will start his new daycare in a week or so. I’m excited for him, but also a little nervous.

The garden is thriving, even though I’ve barely been out there. We’ve all been working hard this week. My husband is sick, not just man flu sick. Severe Tonsillitis sick, since Wednesday. He’s been really unwell….. but apparently he doesn’t need to go to the doctors. Until this morning where he stated and I quote “you were right”. Yes I asked for that in writing.
I’ve been playing around with different social media post ideas and designs. I find it so difficult to “sell” products. It always feels uncomfortable. Anyone who knows me will agree – I’m awkward. I’m not smooth, I’m not “cool”. I’m just me. An introverted creative, quite happy to live in her house.

I have been listening to an audio book called The Soul of Money by Lynne Twist. I’ve linked it for anyone who is interested. I have enjoyed it. Although I do not know how I can change my thoughts around money. I’ve never really valued money over my relationships, but you definitely need money to live. Especially in a time like now, we are all struggling to get by. It’s almost a physical reaction to want to earn more and hoard more. To make sure we have enough for our families.
I haven’t done as much meal prep this morning as I normally would. with my husband being really sick, juggling all the household chores with no help has been difficult.
I did manage to cook/prep:
- Cooked a roast chicken
- Cooked blueberry muffins
- Bake white chocolate and raspberry cookies
- Cooked Beef Pad Thai
- Made Jelly and fruit
- Washed and dried lettuce and strawberries

Overall this week has been good, we’ve managed to sort care out for the little one so I can continue to work. I just hope he doesn’t regress again. He’ll definitely find it interesting adjusting to a new routine. I think I’m going to find it interesting to settle into a new routine as well. Longer hours. I have accomplished a few things for my business, as always the list is never ending.
Now for my favourite part of a Sunday afternoon, a mini rest with my little buddy.
Wishing you endless inspiration and flourishing creativity in your art and garden endeavors. Happy creating!
